Why meditate?
In the short term, meditation will make you feel more relaxed and
alert. Continued practice leads to less stress and
anxiety. With your mind free from clutter, concentration and creativity
are improved. You may notice that you sleep better.
Regular meditation can help us to respond creatively to the challenges
of daily life: difficult colleagues, stressful situations, and demands
on our time and attention.
Many people report some improvement straight away, but the benefits
of meditation accumulate with regular practice - rather like physical
exercise. Over time, meditation helps us to reach a deeper understanding
of self, to define our own goals, and to enjoy life more.
